Non Fishing Activities
Non Fishing Activities.
The southern part of Patagonia Chile is land area that is very sparsely inhabited with the exception of a few small villages and farms, and is otherwise undeveloped. As a result, the Non-Angling program at Rio Palena Lodge offers guests a host of exciting options amidst breathtaking surroundings, which include:
-Horseback Riding
-Scenic Float trips on the Palena
-Extreme whitewater rafting on the Futaleafu
-Canoeing on our private lagunas
-Visiting small local villages such as Palena, Futaleufu, El Molito, Santa Lucia,
-Birding
Non-angling guests should be prepared for a variety of outdoor activities, and should bring good quality raingear (jacket and pants), hiking boots, warm clothes, a good quality camera, binoculars, backpack, and a hat. The absence of predatory animals, reptiles, and biting insects make Patagonia a safe and enjoyable outdoor destination for anyone.
